On our first couple trips to Cuba we preached in a small church in a suburb of Havana. We recognize many of the people in the congregation. On our last trip one of the members approached and asked if would be possible for us to help him locate family in the U.S. that had been separated since the revolution in 1959. We said we would try. After a full year of searching we found and contacted brothers and sisters of the Cuban man. None of them had met, but we were able to prove family relation. We are now in the process of helping them contact and meet for the first time. This has to be one of the most emotional things we have been allowed to be involved in. Our God is great, and even the family members who are not followers of Christ can see that God is at work in their family.
We will post updates as this story unfolds.
